Hello, one of my new physical symptoms is the sensation of a buzzing against my skin, its normally intermittent and turns up in all different kinds of places on my body and its normally only small patches. has anyone else experienced this with anxiety? doctors have told me it is anxiety related but it really stresses me out.

yes the buzzing feeling is very common with anxiety. It’s harmless. I’ve had that quite a bit and get it more when I’m anxious. Nothing to worry about.

I have this right now along with other symptoms. No idea what is wrong with me but I feel pretty awful. What other symptoms do you have?

ive had loads of different symptoms, mainly aches and pains, muscle twitches, dizziness and this buzzing sensation. have you been to the doctors?

Yes Ive been to the doctor who ordered bloods which were normal except for slightly raised thyroid level. I also went to A&E Saturday cause I was so worried and felt so ill and they did a load of reflex and strength tests but sent me home with propranolol and a neuro referral for peace of mind.

i hope your referral comes out okay, keep me updated!!! i suppose we just have to trust what the doctors say and accept it. do you feel anxious?

Yes I am very anxious. I have made myself very ill with the anxiety of it all. I an struggling to eat and some nights like tonight I cant sleep.

i definitely think you need to focus on accepting the anxiety and all the symptoms it can cause. I am in a lot better place now then i was a couple months ago and thats definitely down to just accepting that its anxiety rather than searching up every symptom i have, itll get easier, just take one step at a time x

Thank you. I will try to except that it is the anxiety. My doctor prescribed me with anti sickness tablets and im hoping they work. If I can start eating properly again I think I will start to recover.

I have the buzzing feeling. Usually on my thigh or knee...

It feels like something is moving on the hairs on a certain patch. When I look at the area it subsides somewhat, but then when I no longer keep direct focus on it the sensation comes back, it is very strange although it has never concerned me. I find those feelings interesting and often distract my mind with it so I am not stuck in my own head.

I would say it is likely anxiety related, and it is uncanny how anxiety can just bring on such random symptoms.

Take care and all the best,

    Kyle
