Fell on wrist and not agonising lump

Hi all!
I fell on my wrist and I’m assuming I’ve bent it the wrong way as ive done previously and just had a bad pain for a while but the next day I’ve slipped and the pain was horrific.
I magnaged to sort myself out but I noticed a small-ish lump on my inner wrist and I didn’t think much of it as it wasn’t painful but as the days passed it got worst so I took myself to A and E and to be told it’s a fatty lump, no break or whatever so obviously they know what they’re talking about I got given a splint and sent on my way but just now after removing it to wash my hands I knocked the lump and it caused one of the worst pains I’ve felt and I lost full feeling in my hand for a good 3/4 minutes and my hand now feels like it doesn’t want to open up full just stay in a cramped position if that makes sense? I don’t know if it’s normal with wrist injuries or lumps on the wrist but It really doesn’t feel it!
I hope someone can help, thank you!

It could be a ganglion which develop very commonly on the wrist near a joint, especially after an accident involving the wrist. Not dangerous or cancerous and if its not painful no treatment is usually needed,as they can disappear as quickly as they arrive, but as you say it is painful I would make an appointment to see your GP.
The old doctors "cure" for these lumps was to hit them with a heavy book!!! That would disperse the fluid. Not done today I hasten to add,so dont worry.
