Felt unwell for over 5 weeks

Hello, I hope someone can help, 5 weeks ago I became unwell with a chest infection and laryngitis. I was prescribed amocillian and then penicillian which didnt help. My largngitis has improved but throat remains sore and if I talk a lot my voice goes. My chest has become painful in the last 2 weeks, first a feeling of tightness on the left which has now moved to the right. I feel so tired all the time.

Bloods and X Rays have come back clear, Doctor advised to rest and thinks I have inflammed a muscle.

any ideas ? how long will this go on for ?

    Alison,

Coughing from chest infections can pull muscles. I have had them and it does hurt. I'd give your body some time to heal itself. If your voice and the largngitis doesn't go away you may want to see an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist. I have polyps on my vocal cords that get checked yearly. They surgically removed one but it came right back. They strain the voice and mine are benign. Do you have a low gravelly voice? If so you might have polyps.

    Hi

This is a good remedy for sore throat. Boil white lemonade when it starts to bubble take it off the hot plate add 2 large dessert spoons of clear honey finally some sliced lemons. When cool enough to drink do so.
