Femoral Hernia recovery

Hi

Hoping somebody can offer some advice about recovery times for a femoral hernia repair.

I appreciate all people are different but interested to find out views.

My brother had a femoral hernia repair under local anaesthetic 3 weeks ago. Surgery went well and mesh inserted.  He is not in chronic pain and has reduced pain killers to ‘as and when’ but says he is still sore.

He is not lifting anything or driving so he has not done anything to aggravate the wound. 

Any ideas on how long before soreness will wear off and moving around will be easier?
