Femseven Conti

Hi - have been on Femseven Conti for 3 weeks and am starting to notice some changes.  My anxiety disappeared all of last week and I felt amazing but yesterday it returned sad

I just wondered if it's normal to have good and bad days on HRT and also how long does it take for HRT to really kick in?

Thanks.

To really get a constant dose running through your system can take up to 3 months although if it's not quite enough you will have drops as it's not getting you round to your next dose before falling. It took about 6 weeks for mine to level out without increasing dose. I actually feel better than when on natural cycle of peaks and troughs as constant now 😀 I'm sure it won't take long and it's great that things are heading in right direction for you

Thanks for replying - just been to see my gp to get another prescription for the patches and he seemed clueless about hrt - he told me all it was good for was hot flushes - I told him there were at least 34 menopausal symptoms that it was meant to help in some way!  He then tried to get to take pills instead because they are cheaper than patches!!!

That's awful. I did my research and then went in and asked for the gel with my reasons why. The Dr was female as couldn't see my own dr and agreed straight away. Maybe ask to see a dif doctor?

I've had no trouble on gel. 2 squirts on a day. Dries quite quick and done. I had ovaries removed in May and had no flushes since been using gel. I am going to speak with Dr on next review as I'm on lowest dose and my joints do ache a bit and not sure if hormonally related?
