    Hi there,

I use Femseven sequi... I've only just started 4 weeks ago after changing from Evorel because of bad side effects.

The Evorel stuck like glue - never came off. I noticed that the Femseven do not stick well and the first one fell off after showering but then read that you need to stick it on and hold it in place with a warm hand (or some recommend heating the area before applying the patch with a hairdryer?!) for 3 minutes at least to activate the glue... since doing this, the last two I have put on have stuck and not fallen off. Just thought I'd share this info as it may help?! 😬

Other thing is I was told not to apply them anywhere on the body above waist height. I think it also says that on the info leaflet somewhere?

Other than that I guess you could try a brand swap to Evorel as I used them for 6 months and as I said they stuck like a dream!

    Hope this helps.

Hi could I ask what side effects you we're getting on evorel. I 2 take evorel with side effects.

      Hi,

It was mainly the last two weeks of the cycle that gave me the worst s/e's... so I'm guessing it was down to the progesterone (which I've since learnt is a lesser tolerated type than the Femseven progesterone?).

I suffered pretty bad low mood as in quite emotional (which is not usually my style!!), I felt a bit angry and unable to cope but the worse symptom was a kind of breast pain that mimicked mastititis, it was soooo bad plus my breasts seemed to swell too.

It kind of got worse every month until this last month I finally gave in and so I'm now just finishing the last patch of the Femseven  cycle and I have no breast pain really at all, my mood is a little emotional but nothing like when taking Evorel and I feel not too bad but I do seem to have developed vaginal thrush and my bleed has started before the end of the progesterone patches which is obviously early but helping the thrush (I'm due to start my new month, oestrogen only patches, tomorrow)... so I'll see how I go this next month. Got to give it time to either settle or get worse I guess?!? I have to say that again my symptoms only started when I started the dual patches so it's obviously progesterone I have probs with!! 😖

Hope this helps and hope your side effects settle.

That's my main problems anger mood swings! Weeping at the daftest things😔 I'm also having trouble with a lot of gas in my stomach. Joys of the menopause!! x

So I didn't suffer from gas on Evorel but seem to be starting with it on Femseven... can't win!

I'll just eat more chocolate, everything is better with chocolate... apart from the weight I'll pile on. 😖

Good luck y'all!! Keep smiling. 😊

Thanks for this as I may try it too if you find they stay on better.  It's really hard when showering as they do tend to come loose but then re-stick afterwards... but I wonder if that affects the dosage as, as yet I don't feel great on them... but maybe I'd feel awful of them!!!

Arghh! A girl could go mad analysing it all.

Anyway, let me know how you get on??

      Thanks,

      Hi there,

Glad they're staying in place now!

Mine seem ok if I hold them on for around 3 mins or so (feels like years!).

The only issue I'm having is, like last month on them,  I'm starting my period too early and whilst on the last week of the combined patch rather than when I start I new month on the oestrogen patches? My period should be initiated by the lack of progesterone so this seems odd?

Also I seem to get bad period like pain before my period kinda' gets going! I'm not sure what to think but will try the 3rd month and see what happens... hoping my body adapts. Good thing though is that my aches and pains have subsided again on this patch too.

It's so trial and error! How do you feel on them... like Wonder Woman or just takes the edge off?

Hi I am ok until my periods but they are all over the place at the moment they are about every 10 days so fell ok for a few days but then get lower back ache and needing the loo a lot and do not sleep well

, went to doctors for a semer test and she found a polyp she said it could be why my periods a like they are had it removed had to have a ulter sound all ok but my periods are still the same , my doctors are not very helpful so just hoping this is the beginning of the end .

      Take care

Oh wow! Poor you! Yes, hope you get some relief soon.

Before I started on HRT in November last year I hadn't had a period for a year! Now get them monthly again but with all this PMT which I have never suffered from previous.

Hang in there! One day we may feel 'normal' again!!!
