Fencing practice with a slightly too-big shoe, and now I have a weird pinkie toe.

I fence, (swordfighting sport, search it up) and for some reason,  my pinkie toe on my left foot is bothering me. The nail has completely detached from the cuticle, though (thankfully) is attached to the nailbed. There's a space between the proximal fold and the nail, and there are whitish flakes of skin coming off of it. Gosh, I hope it doesn't get infected. What can I do? Will it heal itself? Here's a picture... (Please don't reprimand me for the terrible quality... I hope this forum isn't as toxic as other forums...)

You are totally fine. My big toe nails fall off at the cuticle all the time. Cut ur nails short and it will grow out little by little. I even once had my big toe nail partially removed. It was in grown. Grew back perfect.

Hi False, looks like it could be a fungal infection. Get you GP to check it out or a chiropodist.
