I am so sorry you are in so much pain. I just read about Sjogrens. It says it can be found in people with other autoimmune diseases like Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus. Main symptoms are dry mouth and eyes. There are many trigger points of fibro and you may be experiencing those with the pain in the chest and breast,  but the pain down your arm and into your fingers sounds to me like it could be related to your bursitis and tear. Get a good Rheumatologist for your fibro and I would get the rotator cuff tear and bursitis looked at by a good Orthopedic Surgeon. Hope you are taking something for pain. Good luck and hang in there.

Hi Preston. Have you been under more than usual stress lately?  That could create more pain in your body. We all can sympathise with you however because we know what it is like to suffer with chronic pain. I find though myself, that certain conditions make my pain worse at times. Weather changes and stressful situations are often some of the main instigators. But instead of worrying unnecessarily Preston, maybe it would be a good idea to see your doctor just to put your concerns at rest. You have  no doubt noticed that with Fibromyalgia, flare ups will happen where the pain can worsen and it can take a toll on our nervous systems as well. Have you ever seen an Osteopath? I find this treatment helps me in flare ups. They are more gentle than chiropractors. Anyway don't despair; this too shall pass Preston. Often I find for myself, that our emotional state really does exacerbate our pain. So be gentle with yourself. Warmest regards, Maggie

    Hi Preston,

It is normal to have chest pain with fibro, but don't ignore it as just another symptom. I think this is one of the most difficult things about this illness, is knowing when to accept pain and when to question. I accepted nausea and stomach cramps only to discover after nearly 6 months of the ongoing symptoms that I have a gall stone. It's easy to miss signs as we get so used to thinking it's "just the fibro". I also found that the pain relief I use, fentanyl patch, also masks pain I don't know is there, so I have no pain in my gall bladder and was unaware there was a problem there.

So for reassurance as much as anything else, because anxiety will increase your pain levels, get your chest pain checked put. Once you know your heart is ok you can stop worrying. It is scary, I've had that sharp pain in my chest too. There are lots of muscles in your chest and every muscle in your body can be affected by fibromyalgia, but it's not worth the anxiety, so please get it checked out. Take care.
