Fibro and other syndroms

Since i was diagnosed with fibro about 10 years ago i have developed a lot of other things. I have an underactive thyroid (which has caused more weight gain) I have high Cholesterol and now because i became alergic to all pain killers with morphine in them i have been diagnosed with austio arthritis as well. How can one person have all these things together without some sort of connection between them. Does anyone else have the same. The pain in my back, legs and feet had become so bad and the NHS wouldn't pay for them i had to pay private for injections in my back which didn't work.  Has this worked for anyone else?

you have to understand these are symptoms of fibro not new conditions

real enough but unless you treat the cause the symptoms just keep coming.

My Doc didn't tell me that. It nearly feels like they are all trying to keep it a secret. Nothing is mentioned untill you find out for yourself. Now that i have turned 50 i am going to go to my local leisure centre and join the over 50's club where they do aqua arobics. I am hoping this will get me moving again.

Yes Sandra, it's amazing just how many other autoimmune disorders you get over the years...and that's what it is all AUTOIMMUNE..as if we don't have enough to deal with.!!! Soo .glad when there is more research and the powers that be can help..feeling for you...but unfortunately it's pretty  normal..well there are lots of people I know who also have other issues over time.:-( xx. Stay strong..

apparently fibro is not autoamune . RA is but not fibro .

and the multible illnesses you get with fibro are symptoms of fibro .

      not seperate conditions .

Wow..that's the first I've heard...I also was diagnosed with Sjrones Syndrom years before.,and that's also linked to Fibro..a consultant who diagnosed me gave me a huge book, written by many Drs. Professors, Ruematologists and researchers etc..which was written for us to understand and they said it's definitely autoimmune, as is many other issues we get.like CF...all connected with Fibro. Or are Fibro like you said,,..must research this all again...thanks fir thus info..tiswas...:-) xx
