fibro and surgery

I have had fibro for over 20 years, and on Monday next week, I am getting a hysterectomy, removal of my ovaries and a fibroid removed.
I just wondered if recovery time would be more because of fibro pain. I have ME/CFS, so not looking much to the no energy and pain on moving around, but I have got so used to having pain all over that I am not really bothered with the pain in the wound,.
I have also had a double mastectomy 8 years ago, so the surgery on monday is quite minimal, however, I have to take my time walking upstairs and getting up out of a chair etc, and am a bit worried that it will be worse after the surgery.
sorry for babbling on, but I am apprehensive of the recovery time, maybe being longer due to the fibro, and I have heard that sometimes you can be a slow healer...
thought I would ask this , I am 43 and am going through the menapause early, so after surgery I am getting HRT immediately, and again worried about that too.
thanks for reading my topic, and sorry it is a bit jumbled.
xxxx gentle hugs

Hope all goes well for you. You have had a tough time over the years on top of the fibro. Don't know about taking longer to get over it and healing taking longer. But I do wish you well and keep in touch with us all.
I am Tess and was diagnosed last year but it had been going on for seven or eight years.
All the best

Hope you are feeling ok.
I had a hysterectomy when i was 37 years old and I am now 44.It was done part epidural and anaesthetic. They removed my womb due to a large fibroid. They had to leave 4mm of the cervix as a very large vein was in the way. Although I have only been diagnosed with fibro in Feb its quite possible I have had it for years. As for the pain afterwards I took longer to get out of bed by one day, but the relief and the fact that i was no longer passing clotts and large amounts of blood made me feel much better. The pain killers helped a lot. I really don't think the fibro caused any problems in length of time to heal or how quickly i recovered. Six weeks later i walked down Snowdonia all the way.
I hope it all goes well for you.
Take care

Good to hear from you. You are having a rough time wiv everything.
Keep your chin up and come and talk to us all for support. We are all here for you.
I am not too bad at the moment although been feeling a bit breathless lately and don't know if anything to do with my periods again. Thought they had stopped and on way through menopause. But surprise surprise came back again.
Have had a busy few months though. Stewart scalded his arm at work day before we were going on holiday for ten days. Luckily that is healing ok now and back to work on Friday. He has had three weeks off and should get his holiday days off back. Going to put in a claim as well as wasn't his fault. We celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary and had a party in our garden for 45 family members. We have had so many family things going on this year some good and then my sister dying in May of Pancreatic Cancer she was only 56.
Probably explains why I am feeling more tired. Done too much as usual.
Well take care Di. Hope everyone else is ok.
