Fibro eyes

Posted , 6 users are following.

My Fibro pain started constantly July of 2015 , every day my pain is constant some just worse than others. I also began to get blurred vision, I had 20/20 vision and never wore glasses. My vision has now progressed to me needing to wear glasses 24/7 to read things 6 ft in front of me. I'm worried that it's going to continue to get worse.

That is awful my sight goes occasionally but not to the extent that I need glasses. I have ad fibromyilagia since sept 2014 and it is so horrible my pain as got worse to the point my ankles and feet hurt so bad when I walk this on top of the other pains. I hope ur eyesight doesn't get worse and ano it's not easy but try not to stress as it only causes more pains 😢 hugs kirsty xx

Thank you I hope it doesn't get any worse. I try to keep things to a low stress level because I have noticed my pain is drastically effected, when I am stressed.

I have the same problem I the muscles movement . Fibromyalgia can cause joint, tendon, soft tissue, and muscle pain all over the body. An area that is commonly overlooked in fibromyalgia patients is the eye. It is no surprise that fibromyalgia causes eye problems due to the eye containing six main muscles to control movement.

ask for pain med for eyes and ice eye for 20 min wear sunglasses for tv computer and outside the yellow glass in shades .

it has helped a lot. Especially since I have learned to protect my eyes and take antiinflammatories.

    Hi Kirsty and Rachel,

I was diagnosed with fibro a couple of years ago and at the time my vision was good too, but now I need glasses as I can't focus on writing till it's too far away to see properly 🙁, my eyes seem to be more sensitive to bright lights now too. You can try using some witchazel, put it on some cottonwool and put that on your closed eye for about ten or fifteen minutes. It takes the heat out of your eye and relaxes it.

i get aches and pains all over, but my biggest stopper is my feet. I get burning sensations in them and pains as though they have been beaten with a stick. It's all got worse in the last few weeks and my the pain in my hands is increasing too 😞

Anyway, I hope the witchazel helps 😊

    Have a good day

I'm so sorry about your blurred vision.  I have had Fibro for many years without knowing what it was.  All the doctors said I was working too hard or not getting enough exercise, etc.  At least we have a name for this awful pain now.  My eye sight is getting worse, but I partly blame my ipad, iphone, television, etc. I wear store bought glasses to read, but I have a feeling I'm going to have to wear glasses soon.  One of the things about Fibro is the fatigue.  Sometime I will be in a store and all of the sudden I feel like I could  lie down and go to sleep on the check out counter.  I take Tramadol for the pain, but I have no cure yet for the fatigue..Anyone else get an attack of sluggishness and a feeling that you just can't go another step without a huge nap....

I know exactly what you mean a simple trip to the store is a very draining task for me as well. I have been wearing my glasses Avery chance I get I hope they help strengthen my eyes so I won't have to be so dependent on them. It's only been about 3 months , so hopefully in due time I'll see a difference.
