Fibro medication.

Can anyone offer any advice regarding 2 medications that i have been placed on namely Baclofen and Trazodone. It would be of great benefit if anyone has experienced using these medications and there side effects.

I have tried nearly every think except the ones mentioned above. I have high expectations these will work better than duloxetine.

Kind Regards

Richard

I found the baclofen didn't work to relax my muscles. I use cyclobenzaprine. The trazadone made me dizzy and sick. I was put on nabilone it works but makes me real tired which sucks cause I am already tired!!  I also use lyrica

Thats what really bothers me feeling more drained and lethargic. Without tablets making it worst.  I take lyrica but i find it becomes less affective over long periods due to tolerence.

I will ask my doctor about cyclobenzaprine not sure if its availble in the UK if its any think like Amitriptyline then i will not go near it.

      Thanks for your advice

It's like the baclofen a muscle relaxant. I ended up lowering my lyrica dose so I wasn't so tired. There's no magic pill we are like science experiments!!

Hello Richard68340, I have not had Baclofen but, I have had the Trazodone, it did not work for me so, I am trying some home remedies that have been suggested on this site.

30 to 60 mg of cymbalta work for  me; everyone is different and at different levels of pain and fatigue; cymbalta helps keep the pain bearable for me until it starts wearing off; and i take it when i sleep with 10 ambien which knocks me out for 5 hours (which i love) so i don't toss and turn trying to get some sleep; i also do stretching and yoga type moves; as much as i can when i have the energy; everyone's 'fibromyalgia' is different and could be caused by different factors. Doctors use the diagnosis "fibromyalgia' when they have ruled out other possible causes for your widespread pain; it can also be inflammation going on in your body signaling some disease going on in your body, but it takes alot of testing, mri's etc etc and that can be exhausting and costly for someone who lives with fibromyalgia; i don't know how it is in the UK but in the US most doctors don't know what to do with it and don't seen to take it too seriously; i would like to go to a holistic doctor but my insurance doesn't cover
