Fibro taking hold again, I think!

Posted , 4 users are following.

Hi

I get rib pain, neck and back pain, general aches and pains all over, tension headaches, digestive symptoms, anxiety, shortness of breath, extreme tiredness, heady feelings, full ear feelings and more.

Do you think this could be fibro?

Heart, bloods, chest x ray all ok.

Went fir a long walk yesterday with dog, plenty of energy but today I'm like a wet rag, fatigued and aching all over. Shortness of breath but that could be the anxiety.

Can anyone relate please? I suppose I'm looking for reassurance.

Thanks everyone

Hi Julianna, sorry to hear you are feeling yucky. I also have all your symptoms. I don't know if it's because of the weather or the fact that I have flu, but I've been very ill with fibro for nearly 2 weeks with only getting out of bed to use the bathroom. My headaches are causing me great concern. Do you suffer headaches too? Try and take it easy x

FIBRO all the way....   exactly how I experienced it and still do today.  BUT only now I am unable to walk but a few metres...grrrr without my walking crutch.  And even still my body reacts terribly, just as you describe. I am always in constant pain.  mY neck, chest and back pain is so bad I can hardly lay down at night.  I am so exhausted with it all.  The very very deep cramping in my back into the middle left of my chest is so cramping I feel my heart is going to rip in half some times..  it truly is frightening.  My body is swelling up lately with the pain, my hands feel like clubs, fingers like painful sausages.  Wrists feel like they want to shatter or snap....and painfully ache like the rest of me.

You have my sincere sympathy Juliannah

Me too Deb! I had back surgery 8 weeks ago so that isn't helping either. Do your ankles and wrists hurt too? Mine are agony and I keep getting cramp in my legs. X

Wishing you all the best with your recovery teresa!

Gravity for us all with Fibro is a B'arch!  and it doesn't take long on ones feet to feel and suffer the affects of gravity!  Any pressure or loading to joints and muscle groups has a huge downer reaction, response which leaves us in painful dispair!  Called Agnony...

Muscles/Ligaments lock up so badly it's like 'Riggarmortis' (splg?) has taken hold and set in.  My whole Core muscles react to...  and it's like suffering an internal injury or issue, when there isn't one.

For me , my head, neck down through my whole spine gets hammered. Along with all 4 Limbs...including now over the last few years more seriously my Hips, and my legs are now permanently affected.

For me, head and neck trauma directly compromised my Central Nervous System.

I apologise for any and all repetition on my part, I do tend to fall into a pattern of repeating myself forgetting the info I have already imparted/shared.....

Take good care to recover well.  Don't overdo anything!  Backs/necks (spines) and shoulders are so delicate in details that are hard to deal with, baffling even the specialists and surgeons the world over!  As most of us have found out...  Big Hugs..x

    Hello Juliannah

I have all your symptoms but haven't been diagnosed yet. My ears were so full I thought they were going to pop. My shoulders, ribs, neck, back hurt so bad that sometimes just my husband trying to massage aggravates the pains. I have headaches I can't even explain. The base of my head hurts that even if I use a pin to hold my hair in place it hurts. My stomach pain is nothing to be described. It initially started with my stomach early 2015. My GI Doctor did an MRI and found out I have a narrowing in my common bile duct. Convinced me to do an ERCP and a stent was placed. He convinced me again to have surgery to remove my gall bladder. I was very hesitant but finally agreed. I had the flu shot in October and wala I just became someone else. I got so fatigued and in pains that I was calling out from work every other day. I guess my body was over stimulated and I kept having UTIs which I never had before. Now my GI Doctor placed me on elavil and recommended I see a rheumatologist. All my x-rays for back pain, shoulder pain and chest pain came out normal. I honestly recommend you see a rheumatologist. I wil be seeing one in April. Though I was placed on elavil by my GI Doctor but it makes me feel crappy and tired the next day

Hi Juliannah For a definite diagnosis of fibro, your gp needs to refer you to see a rheumatologist. Rheumatologists are the people that diagnose fibro. From the symptoms you have  I think it could be fibro you have. See if your gp will refer you to a rheumatologist for a diagnoses.  The symptoms you have put I have them also I was diagnosed in 2014 with fibro. after 10 years of trying to find out was wrong with me? Take care

Thanks all for replying to me, I'm sorry you are all suffering too.

I am being referred to a rheumatoligist but it is taking some time. When I suggested fibro to my doctor he agreed it was possible. After reading some of the posts here I believe I have fibro.

I do get very bad migraine type headaches but I have an Aching neck and shoulders so that is probably why. I feel cold sometimes but I cannot stand getting too hot either. At night I get restless leg syndrome. My sinuses are playing up also. What a mess!!

Thanks for reassuring me, it gives me the confidence to push myself onwards.

      Best wishes all

You describe me to a tee, with those issues you mentioned to Kaz.  My headaches are varied due to head trauma.  I get 3 types of headaches mostly triggered directly from my trauma affected neck, resulting in issues.  I also get terrible migraines some times, leading me to double up and vomit.  The odd siezure to.  Affects my left side of my head and eye and torso, my neck badly so!!

I have had sinus surgery, for chronic sinus issues, but it doesn't resolve the sinus allergy/s.

Your like me wit the cold and not standing the heat!!  Restless legs and sometimes my whole body actually reacts the same...bad news it is to!!  Just my neck alone aching and paining me can make me hugely nauseated.  Same to with Tinnitus...driving me insane at the moment for days on end and the nausea...grrrrrr  So sore and dam tired...

      Hi deb,

Sounds as if you are in a bad way with fibro. Some days I can feel great, Ok I still get odd aches and pains but when head feels clear I can carry on as normal. Other days when I get up I know if it's going to be a bad day. I can be feeling lethargic and tired and then out of nowhere comes this burst of energy and I start cleaning like mad. When I stop I'm back to square one. I've not been diagnosed with fibro but I think I have it.

It seems to affect all body parts, it's like a virus. I used to be so healthy and then out of nowhere comes this.

I had a bang on the head a couple of years ago when I slipped and fell against a wall. It knocked me for six and I haven't been the same since. I do wonder whether that started this whole thing off with me.

When I get too hot I start to feel worse, I need to have fresh air all the time.

If only there was a pill for this lol.

      Take care
