Last year in august I went to the doctor due to having pain in my armpits. I thought might be something wrong with my implants (breast implants 8 years ago) she sent me for an ultrasound and mammogram. Report came back my implants were fine but there were a couple of cysts and one small hypoechoic lesion - said monitoring with ultra sound in 6 months followed by mammogram in 12 months.
So. 6 months pass and I go for my follow up ultra sound (2 months ago) clinical notes:
A few more simple cysts & a couple more hypoechoic nodules, again small. A few complex and or inspissated cysts - they are not sure but report says more complex in appearance. there is also fluid build up near breast implant but no significant infusion. Suggested short term monitoring 3 months by ultra sound and depending on clinical notes or anymore significant changes MRI.
Now I have been googling this and everything I read leads me to believe that it is nothing to be worried about and normal changes ( I'm 44 ) but in the last few weeks I'm feeling a weird sort of let down sensation (not breast feeding) that ship sailed along time ago!
I can now also feel the lumps where before I couldnt.
I dont want to over react but thinking I just go straight for a MRI ?
Has anyone ever had fibrocystic changes that turned out to be cancerous?
Am I stressing to much or not enough ??
Friends / my doctor dont seem to concerned so maybe I am
