Fibroid grow back after 4 months of Laparoscopic Surgery ??

I have a multiple Fibroid and have a Laporoscopy surgery removal at Columbia Asia Johor Malaysia, my Dortor during the surgery is Dr Rohaini, my surgery was done on 18/7/2017, I though after surgery, my fibroid will be gone but give me a shock when I go for pap smear at another Specialist hospital, I still have 3 big size Fibroid inside my body.

Can anyone experience this situation that the fibroid grow back as big as 4.7cm within 4 month after surgery ?

    Hi Vivian, I would guess that, if you were diagnosed with multiple fibroids, not all of them were removed when you had the surgery, and one or more small ones remained. And yes they can grow quite quickly....

      Hi Christine,

      First time scanning from Dr Rohaini at Columbia Asia that I only have 3 Fibroid need to removed but during the surgery she found out 8 fibroid, since surgery can remove the fibroid, why cannot remove all of it and remain some at body ?

      My bigger fibroid is 8cm during surgery and now during the Pap Smear on 18/11/17 (4 months after surgery) found out 3 fibroid still did not remove, the bigger one is 4.7cm, as mention by you, one or more small one remained, what is the size of fibroid consider is small, pls advise, thanks.
