Hi! Six months ago I had fibroid surgery. And since then the procedure, I've been witnessing acne severely. I've never had acne problems at all or this serve. Has anyone witness the same issue? I've tried everything to get my skin back to normal. Nothing seems to work.

I'm not sure. I've had a pimple here and there periodically. But after surgery, my chin has been breaking out real bad. I've purchased all kind of acne solutions, nothing has work. I went to the dermatologist already, but there medications are so expensive. I may have to go back and fork you the money for what they are recommending. Good luck!

It might be that the surgery has created some hormonal changes in your body recently. Surgery and healing can be very stressful and all sorts of things can influence your hormonal balance. I had terrible acne following a miscarriage.

Try to treat your skin gently (use a fragrance free moisturising cleanser, and something like Simple light moisturising lotion). You could try glycolic or lactic acid a couple of times a week to exfoliate. Keeping your routine gentle will make sure you don't exacerbate the problem. Don't strip your skin of moisture or scratch or pick if you can help it.

I would expect it to settle down in a few months on its own. Good luck!
