Fibroid Tumor with Back Pain

Hi all,

I learned I had a fibroid tumor two years ago. Without the proper insurance, I was unable to do anything about it. I was able to go this month and learned it is the size of an orange. I do have a sonogram on Thursday. The doctor said he will know what to do after the sonogram. I have the worst lower back pain and it is hard for me to control my urine. I had gone in two years ago to get an IUD but he could not put it in due to the fibroid. I would like to know anyone's experience with this. Did you have to have surgery? What did they do to relieve back pain? Thanks in advance.

I've  been told I have fibroids, adenomyosis and a cyst on my right ovary.  I too have had lower and right side back pain.  The pain on the right side feels like kidney, also goes around into my mid back.  Gynocologist says could be cyst, GP tells me to go for physiotherapy??? I swear Doctors haven't got a clue.  I have bloating to the point I look 6 months pregnant, I have leg pain, thigh pain, bowel issues.  I'm either constipated or loose stools.  Bladder issues are feeling like I have to go mostly at night when I lay down.  If I lay on my back, more bladder pressure so try to lay on my side.

I also look like I am pregnant. I went to another doctor and found out I have 4 fibroids instead of one. The biggest one is as big as an orange. I was given medication for my bladder. I have to go back in two weeks to let them know if I want to have a hysterectomy. I want to discuss a partial hysterectomy if that would be possible. The cyst on the right ovary is gone.
