Fibroids

Hello

I will be 56 in August and have been in menopause for 3 yrs.

I was told I had an enlarged uterus during my pap test. Doctor sends me for an ultrasound to find out there are 3 fibroids in my uterus.

Now I know why my periods were very heavy and lots of clots too several years before they stopped in August 2016.

In the last few months I have been experiencing bowel and bladder problems.

Abdominal distress, diarrhea, sometimes constipation and thin stools. I don't remember the last time I had a normal bowel movement.

Severe back pain with pain in legs too.

Sometimes my mid back feels like it's on fire.

One time a big discharge just came out in my underwear. omg I thought my period came back.

Not sure if liquid came from fibroids.

NOW in the last week I started spotting. Had to start wearing a pad as I was staining my underwear.

Just had another ultrasound last week and am now waiting what my doc will suggest.

The technician did confirm that fibroids are still there inside my uterus.

Hopefully something will get done ASAP.

I am experiencing pain on a daily basis now and can almost not go anywhere as I sometimes have to run to the washroom with diarrhea.

Was interesting to read other stories from women with same problems.

Hi Diane, maybe your fibroids are deaf and your uterus is trying to get rid of them. It would be real contraction. Does the discharge smell?

Hope it's nothing else. Keep us posted all the best.

If it's a dead or dying fibroid it would. So yes have more checks done. Eg MRI

    Hi Diana,

Your problem may be unrelated to fibroids. Don't let the doctors bamboozle you and demand more test to find the source of your underlying problems.

    best of luck
