Yes I have had right leg pain for years!  If I walk, it feels like a pulling in the centre of my thigh, but no medical reason found so far.  Now I am thinking it is related to fibroids, something pressing on nerves.  I also have pain that feels like sciatica and lower back pain.  Past several months, right side pain like I have a kidney infection, urine sample and xrays show nothing.

I have leg pain. Xray, MI shows nothing. Had fibroids removed and for two months my leg has felt better. Sadly it's beginning to hurt again.

Yes! Horrible right leg pain. It feels like electric lava running through my bones. My leg sometimes goes out on me, too. I keep telling my doctor's but it's like they don't believe me.

Hi I too had leg pain after being diagnosed with an 8cm fibroid. I was prescribed Esmya which I took for two course and a scan showed the fibroid had shrunk to 5.9cm. The leg pain had by then gone away so I definitely think is was down to the fibroid pressing on a nerve when it was at its biggest. Unfortunately Esmya has now been suspended pending review so I’m really hoping the fibroid doesn’t grow back.

Good luck at your doctors appointment - I hope you get it sorted out as I remember it’s being very uncomfortable when sitting as well as walking.

    Best wishes x

      Hi Alineenee,

You said you're on a waiting list for a hysterectomy?? Is this because of your fibroids?

Can I ask, do you have any children or do you want any? If you are still looking to have children, I hope you are aware that there are other options to have your fibroids removed so you can still keep your uterus!

Hi yes its because of fibroids and heavy bleeding, lve tired all other treatments and had the lining of my womb removed and yes l have grown up children plus grandchildren x

Hi. Do you mind me asking how old you are?  I’m 52 and like you have children and a grandchild.  My consultant seems keen for me to wait it out until the menopause now rather than go down the operation route at this late stage. I’ve suffered with heavy periods from fibroids for probably 8/10 years progressively get worse and worse but now I’m so close to menopause it seems silly not to hang on as it will solve all my problems. She thought maybe another year but who knows. Have you tried tranaxemic acid?  I’ve always been scared to try it as there is a history of blood clots in the family. Not sure if it increases the risk?

Us ladies suffer so much with these fibroids. Not sure they really realise just how much it impacts on our quality of life.

Good luck in deciding what you want to do.

    xx

Hi,  I have been getting the same pains during my period and can only think it is linked to the fibroid. I get a pain in what feels like the front of my pelvic bone and down my thigh muscles on both sides. I find doing yoga/Pilates and using the bobbly rubber balls to massage it helps a bit plus I have been prescribed mefenamic acid which massively reduces the cramps and aches..... plus the ever loved hot water bottle...
