Before I had my myomectomy 10 days ago I had really swollen lymph nodes in my groin I am not sure if they are related but I thought so I tried to see if I still felt them after my op but they are gone how that helps

    Hi Karmaway,

Unless there is an infection in your body, your lymph nodes will not be affected.  You need to see your doctor.

In all of the materials that I have googled and researched I have never read anything about fibroids affecting lymph nodes.  I have seen 3 different doctors regarding fibroids and they never mentioned anything about the potential of lymph node reactions as a result of fibroids.  I have had mine for over 10 years.

You can read over many of the threads and questions in these forums and I don't think I have ever seen anyone complain about lymph node issues.  But that doesn't mean to say that yours is not somehow related.  If your fibroids have been causing issues with another organ, and that organ is distressed and has created an infection....your lymph nodes will respond.

    See your doctor.

Yep have seen my Dr and seeing him again on Thursday. I also have an auto immune disease so it could be this or the meds I'm on. Just wondering if anyone had the same issue as turns out the do smile.

Hello I wonder if you got an answer from your Dr. I have been having persistent pelvic pain. Finally got an ultrasound and have 2 polyps plus a small fibroid extruding from uterus next to ovary. it would come and go but now it stays and right groin lymph mode is swollen. I did have 2 swollen nodes with an autoimmune flare but now no flare and only one. I feel nervous that the polyps and fibroid are cancer 😰  Would love to know if there is another possible explanation

Hi Laurel have you had dm actual scan on the lymph node area? That’s what I had and turns out what I have is a fatty lipoma. A benign fatty lump. Try not to worry I’m sure all will be fine xx
