Hi Francis, I have one submucosal fibroid and also suffered with a heavy bleeding with clots. I was too admitted to hospital in February, just missing a blood transfusion. I did receive an iron transfusion though and I felt it helped. I would suggest you get your blood platelets count checked as I suffer with low platelets and I believe it made me bleed that much more! I have since adopt healthier diet, started vitamin D, B6 and magnesium and hemp seeds, also I have taken black strap molasses which meant to be really good for decreasing bleeding. If you are anemic, this could also make you bleed more so iron tablets/liquid is really good for that. Facebook forums are of great information in regards of different treatments. I am booked to have an open myomectomy in July but that's because I've not had kids yet. Good luck 🍀??

    Hi Francis,

Sorry to hear that you are going through such a difficult time. I had been in your shoes with the large clots and the cause being 4 fibroids from 2-13 cm. I am over age 50 and already have children, so decided to go with a uterine fibroid embolization (done by an interventional radiologist). My anemia has been corrected and my uterus is still in tact. Little to no more bleeding for me since the procedure. I have read in here that some women who still want a chance to have children are opting for the myomectomy route. I read a couple of books on options and did quite a bit of research prior to choosing the procedure right for me. The only procedure that my gynecologist could do was a hysterectomy, which was not what I wanted unless nothing else worked (my thinking).

Hang in there and good luck!

Thanks. Yes I am thinking hysterectomy as I have three children and 49 and don’t want any more. Thank you again for response
