fibromialgia and nausea

hi dont usealey  ask for advice just wondered if anyone else suffers the nausea followed by being sick. iv had it twice in 3 months and its really horrid

each time iv had pain in the diagframe area just under the ribs and around to my sides feels very tender like other aparts do sometimes .

its a sight of any old injury so i was wondering if inflamation builds up there causing the nausea then its relieved by being sick. it does seemed to be linked with to much hidden salt , with this hot weather iv been eating a lot of priccessed foods which i dont in the winter, which i know have alot of hidden salt , i never add salt or sauce or mustard to anthing but i know its hidden in a lot of proccessed foods.

    Hi Tina

It may be a good idea to go and see your GP about this because what you are describing could well be a problem with your gall bladder! I hope it isn't?!

I am not wanting to worry you too much but read up on here about the symptoms for gall stones!

They send you for an ultrasound scan to determine if you have them!

I have had nausea for years with my severe me/cfs/fibro but the nausea, vomiting and pain were a whole different issue.  but it is difficult to tell when you are constant pain all the time.

I am waiting to have gall bladder removed because I have a 26mm diameter large gall stone and the only way that it can come out is via surgery and my symptoms started a couple of years ago and I ignored them!

Sounds like classic irritable bowel symptom which is a common problem with fibro. You need to get it diagnosed but then you can take buscopan for it.

thanks for info , but iv had bouts of ibs and its not the same, i had a fall in 2000 which caused whip lash injuryto my neck and upper back.

and 3 broken ribs, also tore the muscles round the lower rib cage which left me with awful stabbing pains long after the ribs healed.

just seems from time to time that area gets more inflammed , but i will visit the doctor and check it out.

I think that the nausea and sickness youbare experiencing may well be Gall Bladder trouble, I had mine removed in 1995 after suffering similar symptoms. Best go and see your Doctor to satisfy yourself that it is not the old injury.

Ordered some of that essential mineral magnesium off Ebay. will give it a try.

Hi Tina. I too had the very same symptoms as you ...the pain under my chest and then being sick. But mine was down to some anti inflammatory drugs the doctor prescribed. Once I stopped them it all disappeared. Have you started any new meds or increased dosage of any Hope your problem is so esily resolved. Take care
