i would be very interested in any women who thinks that they had fibro since child hood, because i have had Aspegers syndrome all my life its rarer in girls then in boys.

i have always been sensistive to sound, touch enviroment, etc

.ie if i got caught in the rain even a shower it would make my skin really sting and i would twitch all the time untill i could get out of it. some reasearch says that women with Aspergers syndrome due to hormone changes at puberty and menopause can have there sensistives increased at those times .and can go on to devlope fibro .

i know i have not eplained it very well but i hope to get some feed back be interesting to know .if anyone with ASPERGERS  male or female has gone on to devolope fibro

I just did research for someone that wondered if herpes and fibro were related. Bizarre, but I was too curious not to find out.

Fibro can be triggered by a viral infection like Epstein Barr or...herpes. We are apparently born with a predisposition and can be triggered by many things, usually a physical issue or emotional trauma.

I do believe I've had adrenal issues since high school and fibro was triggered later in life. Note: no Aspergers, but I do have slight ADHD and OCD tendencies. Never bad enough to need meds, but they have certainly ruled my life at times. Haha. I prefer the think I'm just motivated and organized. Not fond of the labels.

    Hi

my doctor thinks I've had FM since I was four. Looking through my life with everything I've gone through she could very well be right! When I was four I nearly died because of an infection that went right through me into my appendix and then out of my groin in the form of a massive cyst I lasted about a week. A week of being put in a bath with  hot water , my mum holding me and my dad squeezing the cyst. I still have the scar. It all makes sense from then on with the FM

Fibro is a predisposition and can be triggered by a viral infection or another type if immune dysfunction...among a lot of other things like emotional trauma. Which I'm sure you did.

      I believe you 100%!

Was bored today & was researching human behavior and the subconscious brain's ability to completely control us. Us thinking we are consciously in control of our brains is like a mouse riding in a bus thinking it is the driver.

In that, I found something that applied to you. Most people believe that major events have the most subconscious control over our decisions and attitudes, etc. In fact, it is the opposite. Constant irritations, bereayls, disappointments, crappy bosses, bad relationships, etc. are what our brains use more to make life decisions. As we literally have almost no control over our decisions and can rarely know WHY we choose what we do.

Although that trauma obviously triggered your fibro, I suggest you look at every day life. I certainly am. I had no idea and am taking a serious look at mine! But it all builds up & eventually changes who we are in an attempt of self preservation or protection.

Hi I'm 36 and it's thought that I've had Fibro & possibly ME/CFS since I was 14, possibly younger.  I was only disgnosed a coupl eof years ago cos that was when I pushed for a diagnosis, rather than just living with the pain.  Long story, but I remember at the age of about 14 growing alot, my leg muscles not growing at the same speed so difficult to walk without pain.  Went to see my mum's Oestopath for help with the legs and then seeing her evry couple of months same time as mum for help with back pain.

I don't remember an illness.  Lots of family stresses from age 8 onwards.

Not had skin sensitiveness like you in the rain.
