fibromialgia why?

iv given this a lot of thought  as to why this happens. to active busy people and not to the coach potatoes .

i think its like a car with out maintence,

your body is carfully constructed machien , if you have a very active life and a good diet and very few upsets then your probly go thru life ok .

but if your  working and playing hard, and you get a lot of emotional crisis keep popping up in your life , you start to put looking after your self on the back boiler,  its natraul we all do it, we stop eating and sleeping properly

and we are fine for a while ,while we are using up our bodies  resources

but if crises are ongoing and we have used all our resources up ,depleated our bodies of vitiamins and minerals, then we run in to trouble . i think when we are under constant stress and do nothing about it ,our bodies do it for us. by slowing us down by hitting us with conditions like FM MS ME. and stopping us with things like heartattacks and strokes.

our bodies need to be balanced to be well, to much of anything is bad, and when we under stress ,we should take care to take a good supplement .to help

I think you are right in a way, during my life I have had to deal with many stresses,

Father dying at 42, taking care of my Mother, besides a husband and child and doing

a very  stressful job. and coping with everything on my own,

now feel paying for it  instead sharing the load took control and everyone relied on me

Now I feel it has all caught up with me. And feel lost with emotional distress which I am sure brought on this Fibromyalgiia,

Have been reading an article about negative thoughts and how you cannot move on until you accept them (easier said than done)  but if you try to repress them they keep coming back stronger, they are part of who you are, and must live side by side .

I agree that supplements are important and being kinder to your self all help,

getting checked this week at Drs to see whether I need them.

    Best wishes,

    Pat

You make a good point. But it's been shown that celiac is the cause of many autoimmune disorders such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Migraines, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, the list goes on. So maybe it's due to stress and maybe it's due to eating gluten that is slowly killing off the villi in our small intestines that impair our bodies.

you raise a good point ,i have tried a gluten free diet for myself and it made matters worse,

but its always worth a try , everyone is differant , for me i think its lack of magneiusm and tons of emotional stress. both i am working on.but for anyone whos looking for a reason its always worth considering .trying stuff like leaving of gluten .

I am surprised by eliminating gluten you got worse. Did you add something else during that time?

know it was the differant types of flour that they used in the products had more fibre in , set my i b s symptoms of,  yet things like wholemeal bread and baked beans constapate me makes know sense whats so ever i know i was anemic for 16yrs requiring weekly injections i hate to think of the damage that did. maybe its linked maybe not .

      but before my aneima

early to late teens i was always constapated had to have whole meal and caster oil .i tell you the body when it works its a marvel but when it starts playing up its a nightmare

Another thing I have recently learned is by going to an Upper Cervical Chiropractor who only adjusts the top 2 vertebrae in your neck. If you can keep those in alignment, then the nerves that come from the brain stem that feed the entire body can do their job. If they are cut off by a misalignment (like mine was for oh so many years), then nerves misfire and muscles over compensate to try to fix the problems. Your organs and the rest of your body suffers because they are not getting what they need. I had degenerative disc disease 3 months ago. My 6th vertebrae was sitting atop my 7th. Now it is fine and has the normal space it should. My third vertebrae was pushed back from an apparent fall (I had several). He adjusted it, and it has remained in alignment. I saw such a profound difference on a X-ray just 3 months after I began seeing him. And I feel so much better. But the biggest difference for my fibro was getting off gluten 10 years ago. I do find now if my neck goes out my fibro flares up, doc adjusts me, then I am good to go.

Tina, I think you are spot on; way too much stress..having emergency blood transfusion, then right after  living with a very infected uterus for several months before i convinced them something is wrong; then several months later mother's sudden death, and having a very stressful job; then new manager targeting me to fire; same time my father getting  very ill;had to move in with him and trying to work and take care of him; bad food choices, little sleep....my body broke down; my nerves shot, wipespread pain, depression anxiety...

i am on cymbalta which helps and ambien which helps me sleep; was diagnosed recently with severe sleep apnea...but i had sleep apnea before and didn't have this much fatigue and pain; i also think i am absorbing enough nutients from my food and vits...so i also agree with barb that something also with stomach/intestinal.isn't functioning correctly; i hope this all isn't permanent damage; but stress seems to make it all worse so it may also be the glandular system which is out of whack from too much flight or fright situations (i have suffered from depression and severe anxiety since teens; i am now 54
