Hi. Does anyone have any coping strategies that they could share with me. I have to have a cleaner because I'm too exhausted to even wash my clothes and a carer to shower me. My body is killing me with pain from top to bottom, especially in my back. The pain relief isn't working. I feel like bursting into tears. I can't go on like this any more. Please help me 😔

Hi Kate I understand how u feel I was layed up in bed for 2 weeks because I could not move without being pain. I do not have a cleaner or a career because am a stubborn cow I hate letting my husband cook for me an he does because I won't eat due to the weight gain from the tablets. I feel so helpless I have 2 children at home an my youngest is only 11 an it breaks my heart not being able to do all the things I done with him 2 years ago :-( big hugs kirsty xx

Hi Kate, my heart goes out to you. The frustration must be huge.

The only thing I can suggest is that you try getting your doctor to really look at your medication. It obviously isn't working for you.

I've been able to attend a pain management programme, I don't know if you done this already?

There's parts that have helped me such as exercise. We have a movement to do such as foot rotation but we are told to do just one, then the next time you do it you can do one again or two depending on how you feel after doing one.

It seems to focus on doing less than trying to do more.

I really hope you're able to get your medication properly so you'll have time with greatly reduced pain. I wish there was something else that I could suggest.

I am fortunate that I am well enough not to be bed bound. I no longer work that's about it. My husband is good, my grown up kids are helpful when there able to be.

    Sending gentle hugs.

Hiya Kate...I've recently made the decesion to change my diet. Food can have such a big impact on our bodies..whether it's good or bad. I eat way too much sugar, even having low fat food in your diet has proven to have no great value. Infact it can cause more harm then good. Pain & fatigue has taken over my life as well as my sleeping pattern. I've decided to take out sugar and low fat products and introduce more organic products. I will then start slowly reducing my medication, which I know is not touching the real problem associated with Fibromyalgia, only adding to it. I can't wait for the so called experts to find out what causes Fibromyalgia, I can only try and change what feels right and wrong with my body and the unmanagablity this illness has lift me with. I think you are a brave lady to express how desperate you are and I totally identify with you. I believe taking baby steps, never change anything drastically or at once. My new journey is just begining, it's going to be slow but my mind set is believing in change..change for the better, a better heathier life!..Xxx
