Hi.

I have seen my doctor with really bad pains legs arms feels everywhere constant joint pain. Had blood tests said was fine just waiting on vit d deficiency as said that can cause pain. I was given amphytripline for pain. Doctor hasn't diagnosed it has fibromyalgia. Said servere joint pain. Reading all posts symptoms same as mine.

Can anyone tell me how they got diagnosed with fibromyalgia or is that just same as chronic joint pain.

Sick of constant pain but can't seem to get any further with doctors. Finding it hard to function with pain struggling to work. Any advice on what to do.

    Hi Carol,

    I was sent to rheumatology at hospital  initially as it seemed to be in my joints, there i was eventually diagnosed with the trigger point test. This took about 2 years though, after steroid injections etc did not seem to improve the symptoms. and rheumatoid arthritis was ruled out. Vit D deficiency can cause bone pain, i had a deficiency  but did not change my pain issues etc. I am on amitriptylene at night to help sleep and Lyrica pregablin 3 times a day. i was on anti inflammatory drugs for years until i started getting really bad mouth ulcers. You just have to try different stuff. Ask  your doctor what you could try.

    i find the magnesium spray really good at night    a couple of sprays before bed  on each leg stops muscle spasms.

     i hope you get a sympathetic consultant as it helps.

      Thanks Jude will have to insist on seeing someone. I also suffer from faccets in my spine which I have had needles in so spine for. But this pain to much.

    Hi I have fibromyalgia had it for 4 years now I went threw years of constant appointments seeing all different doctors etc had all different test scans bloods etc done they all came back fine they then referred me to a pain clinic the doctors there then diagnosed me with fibromyalgia as hard as it was to hear i have this crippling condition it was a relief also to know I wasn't going mad it was a hard fight to get doctors etc to listen to me iv been on every medication going and didn't agree with me I now take 600mg of gapapentin everyday is hard I hope u get to the bottom of things soon

      My doctors are a waste of time. The only thing I go for is the pain of this . They sending me the pain clinic aswell I would have thought scan xrays ect first to see what's the condition is .

    Hi,

    Yes pain clinic is a bit of a joke, i have to wait six months but in terrible pain now. Not sure if pregablin is working, the trouble is you cant judge how bad you would be if you were not on them !
