Hi all, I’m 51 n have been on mirtazapine for 4 years.  I originally went on it as I had so much stuff going on in my life at that time and needed something to try shut my brain down at night so I could sleep.  Was on 45mg then went down to 30mg about 2 years ago as my life started to get back on track.    It  has worked for me and I’ve never really thought about going off it BUT I am in chonstant agony.  I have SO much aching n pain in my body. I also have fibromyalgia n osteoarthritis  but the past few months my pain has been unbearable.

  Could this be from mirtazapine????

Of course I'm not a doctor, but I know people close to me on mirtazapine and have not heard of aching. Do you think it could be a flare up of the fibro? I've had FMS for 20+ years and was able to live with it without medication. Then suddenly last year it got very bad and I had to seek help. Could it be that the FMS and OA have become worse? If you do decide to go off the mirtazapine, please make sure you talk to your doctor first. Don't discontinue on your own.

Im sorry you're on such pain. I hope you feel better soon.

    Jackie
