Has anyone noticed that they are having inner ear issues with their fibromyalgia? I have noticed when my muscles stiffen up my inner ear starts to get blocked and i go deaf in my left ear.. I take every allergy pill i have to take and try to stay happy,, but this has now taken over my life. I have difficulty standing up after kneeling now and with the deafness i am worried i may have to go on dissablity. Does any one have an idea what is going on. Iam 54.

Help!! I hate going to the doctor ,, they insist on dozens of tests.

Hi Lorraine - I am going through the same exact thing right now.  I have suffered with tinnitus most of my life so I'm used to ear problems. I had a fibromyalgia flare about a month ago and the left ear plugged up bad. My ENT is contributing it to loss of hearing but it feels like my inner ear is blocked. Have you had any ear problems before this one or is the first one?

My ENT refused to connect Fibromyalgia to tinnitus or hearing loss butt I'm beginning to wonder what some doctors don't know about FMS.

Please let us know if you find out anything more. I'm hoping this is temporary and the blocked, plugged feeling passes. I can put up with the constant hissing noise. It's the loss of hearing that makes me crazy.

I wqs told eustatian tube dysfunction. I was also told tmjd which can wreck havoc on everything neck up. Then on Pinterest it said all this was fibro stuff related. No one has mentioned that though. They just diagnoses me with different things.  I see a maxillary surgeon for the tmjd and i have an ent.
