Fibromyalgia and stiffness

Hi everyone, I'm new here and just want to ask if anyone has tingling in their: hand/hands, across the shoulder blades on your back. I've been having real stiffness in my one hand {left} for a few days now. I can barely make a fist and the tops of my knuckles feel really cold. I have most of intense pain in my right should/upper arm so I think it's odd that it would be my left hand and not the right. I guess Fibro does as it pleases and whereever it wants to rear up it will. My lower back is really bad to as I can not stand for very long and it feels like I'm going to break in half and must sit down to get the muscles to let go and relax. I'm finding it difficult to stay possitive as I'm affraid this stiff hand will not go away, will it?

Hi birdie,
Yes I have tingling it could be all my right side or my left it started in the summer and it could last for days I was really worried I was having a stroke or something the first time it happens but now I know it's nothing to worry about. I also get stiffness in my fingers or toes. It can be quite frustrating and sore. It doesn't stay stiff for days it all depends what I'm doing. Iv only been diagnosed a year now and every month I'd have a lot of new symptoms.
Like you I'm finding it hard to stay positive. All summer I did extremely well I didn't need my day time naps as often although I was still in pain I still got through the day. And now that the cold weather is back I'm suffering. The pains are horrific and the tiredness is unbearable. I'm sitting waiting to see my doctor to cry in his face although I know he can't help me I just come to see him because he understands.
This fibro is a curse it's unlike any illness because we have new symptoms every other day and we never know if it's just our fibro or is it something else. Sorry this isn't the positive feedback you needed xx gentle hugs xx

I have had very similar problems. The stiffness is mostly in my legs though and sometiems in my neck and back. Sometimes one of my legs will lock up and I walk like a pirate.
The tingling I have had as long as a month. In my feet and toes, and in my hands and fingers. Went to ER and they suggested an MRI to rule out MS. MRI was completely normal and eventually the tingling and numbness went away. I actually have the tingling/ numbness as I type in my hands and feet.
Mention it to your doctor on your next visit. I wouldn't sweat unless you are also having visual disturbances.

I had tingling start in one arm years before I was diagnosed. They did a nerve test at the specialists and it was fine. As my symptoms progressed the tingling was in both hands and my feet.
I didn't have tingling in my back. My upper back and neck were stiff. Felt like I was wearing a weighted backpack. Lower back was in a lot of pain.
Had fibromyalgia fog and sheer exhaustion. Scared to drive because I would zone out and forget where I was driving. Couldn't go anywhere without GPS.
Muscle spasms, twitching, headaches, tmj, ibs and muscle weakness. Can't tell you how many times I told my doc about how I would go to get something out of the fridge and just dropped it cause my hand would cramp or just not have the strength to take it out to place it on the counter.
Every day was something new. I had to write it down and keep a log of what was going on. This illness is unpredictable. I do well and then all of the sudden...wham! It will hit again lasting a few months. Stay strong and know we are here for you!
