Hello all,

Just wondering if the pain in my left leg (entire leg) is brought on my stress? I've been stressed all day and wondering if this is due to my fibromyalgia or not? any thoughts..

I don't think it's stress I think it's just yet another symptom of Fabriomyalgia as the other night I had sore legs, a bit like cramps, and couldn't sleep because of it, I sometimes get it all down my arms as well. So it could be that you have maybe just over exerted yourself that day, sometimes we don't even realise. Hope this helps Sophie xxxx

    Hi Sophie,

    I agree with  Trisha,

I have Arthritis and Sponilitis as well as Fibromyalgia, but for me, the Fibro means that I hurt everywhere from my head to my toes.  My legs hurt so much just lately, that I have fallen several times.

If I overdo it one day and I don't mean run a marathon, just something silly like sorting out a wardrobe for instance, I'm not able to move for the next few days.  The fatique that comes with it is horrendous especially as I don't sleep too good.

I will say, in my case anyway, the pains are worse with stress and having to go from DLA to PIP is an extremely stressful time.

Hi Sophie11492 I am in alot of pain with my legs all the time and constant back pain. Stress worry doesnt help our condition, the more we stress worry the worse the pain can become. That is what happens to me when I stress and worse the pain becomes worse. take care

I personally find stress agrivates my body and I am in more pain. As well I find it hard to sleep but I dont know if that is due to stress or pain. Its unfortunatly for me a circle that stress aggrivates my symptoms and pain and then I am unable to sleep which is stressful and around and around. Best of luckĀ

I get really bad insomnia, wether I am stressed or not, it seems to come in spells, like maybe for one week my sleeping is virtually non existent especially at night, then the following week I can get back into my usual routine sleeping, I've found nothing triggers it off, it's just another symptom of this illness.

Interesting mine too this week started out ok then 2 nights very little sleep and last night I could even fall asleep for a minute. I expect 2-3 more nights like this. I think it stresses me out that I cant sleep because its so hard to function with unrestful sleeps though as I said I dont know if I cant sleep due to stress or Im stressed because I cant sleep. I need to monitor this more closely see when my pain flares up the worse when I cant sleep and where my stress is... when I try to think back now my brain is in such a sleep deprived fog I cant remember what I did an hour ago let alone which came first. I think I am babbling please forgive me if i amĀ

I totally get it, sometimes the next day or two after not sleeping I become very clumsy and make stupid mistakes, you feel like your not in control of your own feelings or actions xxx
