Fibromyalgia arm pain

Hi I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in February and am finding it hard to pace myself if I don't I get a gnawing pain in both arms where they meet my shoulders and it moves down and they feel weak and heavy for hours after just doing some housework. I still work but only can manage part time. Also palms of hands always hurt not good when my job is using my hands lol. Does anyone else have this sort of pain I am 52 and look fine and feel that I have to hide how exhausted I feel from my colleagues because they are my age and carry on the way I used to only 12 months ago keeping on top of work house etc. sorry to go on so long but would be grateful for any advice thanks hazel39438

IF high over 55 consider asking for a rickettsia screen which will likely meet with resistance and you will have to push.
That is how I found out my fibro is not fibro..I tested positive for rickettsia typhus (flea and rat mite) rickettsii rickettsii and Ehrlichia.
Best of luck x

Hi yes I also am having trouble enjoying this simple tasks at home. Work is getting harder and harder by the day and with repetitive movements it aggravates shoulder burning and stabbing pain. I'm miserable. Feeling depressed because I don't want to leave my house.

Hi
New here, found this because was looking up my symptoms on Google. I've had fibromyalgia for about 11 years but only got the official diagnosis 18 months ago. I'm doing fairly well now I'm taking a bunch of vitamins and a supplement that was life changing, but a few weeks ago i started having arm pain with a feeling with heaviness and also weakness, it's happening more and more lately and putting me into a panic if it's my fibro or a heart attack.

Hi all, been searching for other peoples symptoms as I am currently having the worse pain I"ve ever had since being diagnosed about 10 years ago. I had ambulance out a few weeks back because the muscle spasms in my shoulders etc felt like I was being crushed and pains in my neck, jaw and down arms as well. Of course they can't find anything wrong and just say take pain killers. It will come on all of a sudden and I feel like I can't breathe although I can but the muscle pain in my shoulders and up through into my neck mean I can barely turn my head. Can't take many pain killers as they upset my stomach, I have amitriptyline for when I want to sleep but try so hard not to take too many, don't want to reply on them but currently having to give in as pain is flooring me. Can sympathise with everyone else, I live on a farm and have lots of outside work to do in all weathers, I'm also a carer for my Mum so have to keep going. Anyone else get pains like this across shoulders and into chest, more sore and crushing than actual shooting pains??
