Fibromyalgia headaches.....HELP!
Posted , 7 users are following.
I am in so much pain with a fibro headache today I don't know what to do with myself...
I can't take codeine or ibuprofen so I can only take paracetamol which doesn't touch the pain. I just want to cry but that makes my pain worse. Lying in a darkened room helps but I get restless.....
Does anyone else get this and know of any good remedies before my head explodes. ..?

lying here in bed with the same thing and it just makes the pain in my neck worse so feel for you I will just let mine go gradually and hope it won't take 2 long I used 2 take askit powders for headaches as found they always did the trick bit for whatever reason they stopped selling then.
Gentle hugs and hope your headache goes away pretty soon

I find the best thing that works for me is to wrap up warm and go for a walk in the fresh air, don't get me wrong this in it self takes everything I have, but slow stroll in a park or sometimes I walk to the shops and just brows around ( as long as there are no fluresent lights ) and have a weak black tea,
I don't buy anything as carrying makes my head pound even more,
When I get home I put my feet up and rest
This works better for me that staying in or trying to lay down and sleep which my body wants to do
Hope you feel better soon x

temp is very important to not to hot or cold,
Try some reiki,
I have been told to listen to some relaxation music ( don't get me wrong I love it, sented candles the lot ) but not with a headache, the music irritates me and the smells make me sick 😝
Be mindful of your shoulders as they try to sneak up behind your ears, lower them in a relaxed position 😀
I will send you healing thoughts x

Lately, I have started to get headaches more on a regular basis. I don't find meds help but trying to drink plenty of water and staying cool helps.
I too have a lot of stiffness in the neck / shoulders area but find it difficult to relax so tend to listen to music and this changes my mood.
Gentle hugs to you and hope the head feels better soon.

I take a 500/10mg Co-Dydramol right at the start of the headache if I'm lucky. Shield Relieve Forehead Relief Patches are fantastic!!!!! I've been buying them from Poundland (3 in a box). They are a gel strip which you stick to your forehead which are very cold when you first put them on. They last for up to 6 hours. Unfortunately can only wear at home as they have a white fabric on them which would be very embarressing out and about. They really do help, wearing one I can carry on working or reading. Brill and only 33p each.
Next time I go to Poundland I am going to buy all the stores have cos I can't find anywhere cheaper.
Good luck xx

If there's one place I want to be right now, it's Australia... it's still so cold here in the UK and I just want to be warm...
I find that shivering makes me worse so keeping my head warm is important...
