    Hi Toya,

Have you seen a rheumatologist? I saw doctors for a good 5 years before I went to see a rheumatologist and he diagnosed Fibro. I was told by a spinal specialist that I was a "malingerer", a term American doctors use for faking an illness. When I could no longer walk during one particularly bad flare, my new GP sent me to a rheumo.

In the US they do all sorts of tests as well, but no doc I've been to here ever associates blood tests with Fibro. I'm not sure how it works in the UK. Better, I hope.

My heart really goes out to you because I remember how maddening it was to go to doctor after doctor who said nothing was wrong. Keep on pushing and find someone who will test you for Fibro, or at least be able to rule it out.

I wish you all the best Toya.

Thank you so much. I have been referred to a rheumatologist and am awaiting to see him. I guess I'm just a little anxious to know exactly what the heck this is. I've been having this pain for about 5 months

While you are waiting to see the Rheumatologist Toya, try to keep your stress levels to a minimum. Worrying never helps us either. Just wait and see what he has to say. You sound like you could very well have FM. If you do, then you can read up on ways to help yourself. Know your limitations and don't go beyond it. Rest and take some warm Epsom Salts baths. There are times when we all have flare ups and then things subside somewhat. You will learn how to cope. It is not a death sentence. People who develop these types of conditions often have been through a great deal of emotional upheaval and trauma. A body can just take so much stress on it, until it reacts through pain and weakness and all kinds of other symptoms. Learning ways to take care and nurture yourself Toya, will help you to function a great deal better without so much pain. Emotional and physical stress can create havoc in the body. Take care of yourself. Maggie x

Okay so I just heard back from the doctor and they tell me that I have another swollen lymph node in my groin area but there is no infection anywhere in my body there is no other medication and he's going to give me other than Naproxen and he's telling me to follow up with the oncologist that saw me due to the swollen auxiliary lymph nodes. I guess I'm just really really tired and I really want to know what the heck is going on and this is taking too long and very upsetting. Has anybody ever gone through this with swollen lymph nodes in the auxiliary area and in the groin area but no infection and no arthritis?
