G.P's - HOSPITALS - FIBRO PAIN CLINICS - FIBRO GROUPS. There is help, but you have to be insistent. There are pain clinics around the country and you need to insist on your GP finding the nearest one for you. There is usually wait list, so put you name down asap. The Pain Clinics in my area are Withington Hospital, Wythenshawe Hospital and Trafford Hospital. They teach you how to live with Fibro pain, exhaustion and the resultant depression. The doctors at these groups, also advise you on the prescribed drugs you are taking and whether your prescription is right for you. The course is about 6 weeks and you have to attend once or twice a week, but it is well worth it. As yet, there is no cure for Fibro, but there is a new drug being tested and they are asking for volunteers. Being with others who have Fibro is a help, in that you can share your pain and problems. The specialists who run these hospitals groups are Fibromyalgia Specialists....In the meantime, try to be light hearted and laugh as much as possible. Laughter changes the chemicals in our body to good chemicals which help us deal with pain;( according to the experts.) Regards to all and don't forget to laugh. Fibro may have changed out lives, but we won't let it win.

Well, I have to be truthful and say 'yes' it does work, it makes a person laugh, but it ALSO kills the pain that we suffer! I know, because I have used it 'twice'.. Yes, I am admitting I have had a couple of puffs on two seperate occasions years ago to see if it would stop my pain. IT WORKED!! Was so dam fantastic, AND yes it did make me laugh heaps. BUT I also slept like a baby and woke with NO PAIN for a day. I was still stiff, but NO PAIN!! It's illegal here still sadly, otherwise I would be using it in the Oil form (not smoking it)..
I'm envious of those who are able to use it, even those who use it illegally for medical reasons...'good on you!!'
