Hi John; I am presuming that you are getting Oral Thrush? This is something that I have just gotten over, too, and have never had before in my life, that I know of. My GP prescribed me anti-biotics and an oral mouth ulcer cream (can send you the name/s of same if needed....am in Australia here). The main issue is, as well, is to ensure that your Toothbrush etc is always sterile, and clean from the infection; otherwise you are re-infecting yourself.
?It seems unusual that we are getting thrush as well; as this to me, really does tell us that our Immunity is low, as this is one of the main causes/reasons why thrush usually occurs?? I know that unclean baby teats etc can cause oral thrush for infants etc, but am wondering how many others maybe having problems with recurrent thrush.
?Although my thrush is supposedly cleared up, I still find there are some nights that I can feel "something....like a blister" on the same side of my mouth (I only got it on the R) side of roof of mouth.....nowhere else..strange too), and hence, still apply the oral base over this area, if needed.
?I guess that if you check re ALL of your oral utensils (even spoons/anything that you put in mouth), are properly cleaned and sterialized, this may break the cycle for you? Perhaps it may also be something secondary to other medications that you maybe taking for your arthrites??? (I too have OA, but feel mine resulted from being too run down after 3 doses of the flu this year)????
?Let us know how things go, as this is a new topic (at least not something that I have read on here before). Bron
