To thoughs of you who have had a fibroscan did your ferritin levels have to drop before they would do the scan ?? im confused TIA.

    I have not had a fibroscan but it sounds ridiculous to have to do that.  What are your blood results?

    E.g. HFE genes

    ferritin

    TS%

    serum iron

    Hi Sue,

    I had a Fibroscan last February.  At that time my ferritin was 277 and my saturation was 52%.  I know my ferritin was very very low in comparison to other peoples'.  I am astonished that you are being told that your ferritin must reduce before they scan you.
