Fibula fracture

I fractured my fibula six months ago. I had surgery to fix it and three weeks later it got infected and the wound opened up .they took me into surgery right away and removed the hardware and scraped the bone and tissue. I was put on iv antibiotics for 8 weeks. I've have under gone 18 session of physical therapy and I still dont have normal range of motion

Does anyone know how long it is going to take to get back to normal or is this pretty much the way its going to stay.

Hi Bobby, I broke my tib and had to go through a lot a physio to help get the movement back. are you doing exercising outside of physio too? stretches are one of the things that helped me a lot. I used an exercise bike to help the movement. also used a foam roller and a good ball to help with deep muscles and relax them allowing them to free up and help in movement. I still don't get any negative movement when I have my leg out straight and I don't think I will but managed to get full bend in about 6-8 months. I got the impression that with physio you get what you put in, so make sure you're doing all you can. I found it hard to keep motivation after a while but I'm glad I stuck to it now 😃
