i'm all over the place. On HRT, off it , taking more supplements that I care to tell you about, Do you think it's best to ride it out or persevere with HRT until you find a dosage that suits you? Symptoms change on a daily basis, I want  to throat punch anyone who irritates me one week and then weep about soap stories on tv the next - what's that all about....

Hi nuss, I suggest you try to stick to the HRT, until you find a dosage that suits you. It's no fun dealing with all the hormone issues you're going through. I couldn't take HRT because it was causing me issues. But then I went on a low dose birth control pill and I stopped crying & having mood swings. Why deal with such symptoms if there is something out there that can help?

Dear Sochima, I thought bcp increasing the estrogen. What if the progesterone is low, then thr two hormones are really imbalenced? I need to understand which is more beneficial, bcp or hrt; progesterone ?

Hi  Colleen, since every body is different, it's hard to say which is more beneficial for your bodies chemistry. HRT made me more dizzy, and I felt my hormones were all over the place. I never took progesterone pills but I did buy the cream which didn't really help. However, with this said I needed estrogen to balance out my progesterone which is what I got in the bcp's, plus I had all the symptoms of too much progesterone in my body.  If your progesterone is low however, HRT seems to be what is recommended. But you would need to have this determined by your doctor.
