Really good this is the reality . Exactly this is the one i am undergoing now. As long as we do not react or do anything that itself is great thing. Mainly not to think or worry even though its tough. keep reading below para

" spent the last year in a progressive downward spiral of anxiety. My own particular flavour had evolved into not being able to go to bed for fear of panic attacks when trying to sleep. I was at my wits end, (that statement just doesn't get across just how unhappy, and tired, I was). At the bottom of the pit of despondancy, I went to the doctor and got my prescription. At the same time I read Claire Week's book and your website. I 'wanted' to believe that this approach would work and I didn't want to go down the medication route but I didn't know if I had the strength... but I threw away the prescription. It was the right choice! My symptoms disappeared in a few days and I was sleeping normally within a week and daytime panic attacks have also gone. I've had one 'setback' (which was really bad) but it was part of my recovery. I'm free of all that pain and, for the first time in a long time, feel like I've found my old (happy) life. Your story and your website played a big part in giving me the momentum to escape the gravity of anxiety and get back to being able to get on with life. It's not just me who benefits...my wife and kids have also got back their husband/dad. I just wanted to say thank you so muchf or taking the time to write your story and 'helping' me. I've made a donation to smiletrain, (it's the least I could do)... THANK YOU!"

I have that feeling, it's like a rising wave in the pit of your stomach up to your chest. I get tingly hands, tiredness, aching neck and shoulders. All anxiety. I been on medication for 6 weeks and it's very slowly working. I also find distraction helps x

    Hi Stephen

Yes i did last year... Thankfully after CBT and mindful meditation , fresh air and exercise i am coming out the other side.

    95% better now.

It wäsnt easy and i can still get the dizzyness ocaisonally and foggy head etc. But now i know and accept its anxiety .. It doesnt affect me the same.

Each time you react to the physical symptoms kicked off by all the adrenaline running through your body which is a natural response! It feeds the anxiety and the cycle begins.

Learning how to accept and focus on the now, i bring my attention to my breathing and this apparently helps retrain the brain and deals with the flight or fight.

I hope some of my waffling helps..

I just thought it might reassure you that it can and does get better.

using skills are key to restoring your positive self xx
