Finally feeling good

Posted , 6 users are following.

Will be 6 weeks post op on Thursday ( 2nd op - first was in Feb). Posted on here how, physically, doing well - but feeling low. Well my mind seems to have finally caught up with my body - feeling good at last. Been doing some research and it seems that it's not unusual when you've been in pain for some time to feel low for a while after its gone - strange, but due to adjusting to the new pain free state. Anyway, its good to finally feel like me again. Hospital signed me off for 6 weeks, but my follow up appointment is not till next week so going to ask the doctor to sign me off for a big longer and go back to work on the 5th. Being sensible this time though ( last time went straight back to full time after 8 weeks) and only doing Monday, Wednesday and Friday for a couple of weeks.

Hope everyone is doing o.k today. Hugs to you all. X

    That's great news, Shirley,

Yes, I would agree with phasing in this time, jumping straight back in to full time work after being sedentary for so long must be really tough!

Its lovely to hear you are doing well mentally now too. I am very up and down at the moment but having an up day today.

Well done you. You have your life back now. Go live it! 😀
