Finally found something that keeps my genital herpes at bay

I've had genital herpes outbreaks for over 10 years now and at the age of 48 it has become worse. After going through severe depression and trying everything I could in order to 'cure' it, I think that I have finally found it. Yes, I know that one will never be able to cure herpes, for now at least.

After having yet another really bad outbreak, I happened upon an article about the miracle healing powers of pomegranate. I took this news with a huge spoon of salt as we all know how many so called cures there are on the internet. I started taking pomegranate supplement and within a week, my herpes was but a distant memory and stayed that way for 2 months. I never really though much of it as I was also on a course of tablets which my GP prescribed. UNTIL I ran out of pomegranate supplement and our local pharmacy could not find a supply for over a month. Well, my outbreak was back in full force within 2 weeks and nothing I tried helped. I then managed to get more pomegranate supplement and within a week my herpes all but disappeared. Do not take too much though and speak to your GP 1st as it does lower your blood pressure. I take 1 capsule morning and night and once over the outbreak, I take one per day. I never really post on these forums, but I do know how herpes effects a persons well being and how helpless one feels. Well...what have you got to lose.

    Have you ever taken antivirals?

Hi there. No I have not. I do find that coffee also triggers my herpes outbreaks. Why? Does antivirals work for you?

Yeah, avoid coffee.  It's a well known trigger for the virus.

I just started antivirals last week.  I'm on day 8, and my bump (I've only gotten 1 big one so far) is finally starting to heal.
