Finally got Nephrologist appointment!

Just wanted to share I finally have been referred to a Nephrologist.

April 10th. Cant believe I get to be so excited about this! Haha.

I doubt they are going to shed much light on my CKD but at least im in the system!

    Well done, Jane - hope you find he or she is scaring and knowledgeable one.  The battle we go through with such conditions is that much easier if we are confident in those caring for us.  Good luck on the 10th.

    Jane, you may be surprised at the Nephrologist.  The knowledge they will give.  Hopefully a positive prognosis.  At the very list it will give you a better feeling that you are under the care of a specialist and someone to ask your questions and concerns.  Let us know how it goes.

      In the system means to be allocated to a specialist team. Once you are in the system i.e a patient of the team then things get monitored properly and treated accordingly.

    Just an update:

    Nephrologist thinks I may have Thin Membrane kidney disease as I have persistant invisible haematuria and no protein. Had lots of blood tests and back for repeat bloods and results in 8 weeks.

    So will see what happens then. 😁
