Finally got some answers

After waiting months for my appointment (its been hectic) I saw the urologist today which went really well! He said what I have is reflux disease. Which makes sense because it affects bowels too. And explains scarring on my kidneys. So he's ordered a procedure investigation under general anaesthetic to check my kidneys etc using dyes and stuff. It's common in younger girls, and I guess at 18, I'm still quite young. But happy to finally have some answers.

Sorry to hear from a young person.

It doesn't compute, for me.  Your first uro appointment and there's a diagnosis of scarring of kidneys? What test was used for that?  Did you get a blood work to eliminate infections?  My uro and the ER took multiple tests to eliminate infection as causation, I think - not sure.

It's very good you found the cause, that is a big first step. Has the doctor told you about a solution?

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you smile
