Finally have some answers!

I've posted on here several times due to shoulder pain. I had 3 surgeries 1. slap repair 2. tenodesis 3. MUA with capsule release. I continued to have pain. My surgeon no longer listened to my complaints. I finally went to another ortho Dr. at another practice. I had xrays and MRIs and 3 guided steroid injections. they didnt work so she decided scoping the shoulder was the last resort. so I had my fourth shoulder surgery 2 and a half weeks ago. she found I had adhesions from the cuff to the deltoid and severe bursitis some fraying and some bone spurs. At my post OP she said no wonder I hurt. There is a chance it can reoccur so going for another steroid injection to slow the healing down in Hope's that it prevents it from coming back. So my advice for everyone here is dont give up and dont back down from it. Seek another opinion if you have to!

My goodness!! What did your original surgeon even do?? Those spurs and the bursitis should have been taken care of the first time he went in. That probably would have prevented (to some extent) the fraying and adhesions. I mean, I'm sure some of it developed after your 1st and 2nd surgery. But spurs and bursitis are usually what gets us all in this mess to begin with. I thought cleaning all that out the first go round was standard.

I'm glad you didn't give up and continued advocating for yourself! It's both satisfying and sad when you are finally told you're not crazy and there really is something still going on. I hope your new surgeon sent a copy of the most recent surgery report to your old surgeon. Just so they have your complete medical history... ; )
