Finally seen a specialist

Posted , 7 users are following.

After suffering reoccurring chest infections including pneumonia since October my GP has finally referred me to a specialist he has suggested a volume CT scan and a spirometry test, lung volumes and Gas Transfer tests. So fingers crossed! So far I've only had a spirometry at the GPs which showed FEV at 74%, which I know is really good compared to others, I just want a break from the chest infections! I would like to know if others benefited from these tests?

Hi jo, sadly my Pembury hosp COPD  holds a weekly session, luckily I have her number, as well as her travelling nurses. Just had my catheter out today with a malignant penis melonoma, and my candida is not really being treated at all. But there is always someone worsre off than us in pain etc, I was admitted to the wrong hospital with COPD  no correct medications after a multitude of tests, What is the point of our 10 number NHS when NO data is stored on it ? besides that 22hrs for a pillow, 21hrs for a blanket, sleeping 2hrs in A & E fine wards must have been full. CREDIT To all staff. no food for 11hrs ttea or a coffee included.. When I logged on for a constructive mention of 3 days of coorrection . ABIG RED LIGHT CAME ON. So log on to Conquest HASTINGS and verify the truth. no fictional story. Keep well GOOD LUCK TO ALL PEOPLE WHO  SUFFER.

Hi jo when I first got my diagnoses from my copd nurse she arranged for me to have a flu jab and a pneumonia jab as well. You could ask about these when you have your test xxx sue

Totally correct sue, every year for a flu jab and 10 years for the pneumonia jab, My question is that do you get gas transfer tests with the Spirometry tests or elsewhere ? Best regards to all.
