Hello Ladies

Im Aimee and Im battling perimeno for quite some time. ever since September 4 Im fighting this UTI and now i recheck it 9/18/19 and the UTI was gone or better it didn't show signs of UTI but I still feel a little pressure going to the bathroom . So yesterday I went to a Doctor and I explained to her and she said to me Im in the middle of menopause and seems vaginal dryness since I'm having nights sweats, headaches, every muscle and joint on my left side hurts and today Im having itching skin today at work. She said to used lubricant until the results come back. This is crazy crap. Im limping like an old lady . I gained 20 pounds. I'm 49 and i have been having symptoms since I was 45. . I cant catch a break .

Unfortunately I am the same. Lack of ostrogen can cause UTI I am told by the nurse the other day... I feel your pain.

Hi Aimee, I'm the same. 47 and in peri since around 45, getting all the symptoms. Hang in there!! I had similar issues to what you're describing and thought I had a UTI several times but docs said no. So I've been talking lysine daily (500mg) and extra probiotics when I feel any sort of discomfort there and it does seem to help. I forget why I took the lysine ... I think I read somewhere it helped balance things. But for sure get some good women's probiotics. I had a bit of an issue over the weekend and was taking 2 at night and 1 in the morning and it cleared up. But when it's been worse I've often taken 2 probiotics every few hours and tried to drink lots of water and it seemed to help after a few days.

    Hello aimee

Yes, I was the same. Meno leads to thinning of the urethra due to a lack of estrogen. I was plagued for several months before we connected the dots! Fingers crossed hrt has resolved it, I haven't had one for 18months or so. I did try to manage it herbally with Dmanosse but didnt have much luck xx

Yep, same here! Except I went thru months of yeast infections that turned into bacterial vaginosis and UTIs.. finally cleared it all up and started a vaginal hormone cream, Estrace, (very little gets absorbed into your blood stream) no more itching, bladder issues, or yeast infections. Our bladders depend on estrogen or it gets angry lol. I also use coconut oil, it helps in between my hormone cream schedule.

For the dryness issue, don't use soaps or feminine products, water only. Refrain from using scented washing detergent, and fabric softener on your panties, I use tide free and clear. You'll be surprised how much those suggestions will help.

Good Luck, I hope you find something that works for you!
