After a somewhat failed Urolift my URO put me on Finasteride 5mg. about 2 months ago. Now, my BP has been normal to low with medication, but since the Finasteride I am having trouble controlling my BP. Especially, Systolic. Everything I read online says it should lower BP. Has anyone else experienced this?

Not used it myself but drugs.com says "Commonly reported side effects of finasteride include: impotence and decreased libido". Maybe that does not concern you but as with tamulosin it sounds like a passion-killer (which I stopped for that reason)

I didn't monitor my BP when I was taking finasteride but I suffered night time palpitations. I was referred to a cardiologist who said that finasteride was causing this. Maybe it was something to do with BP.

Thanks! I'm also having palpitations. I'm going to stop it for a week and see if there's any improvement

I have not heard that Finisteride causes changes to blood pressure. Flomax can definitely cause low blood pressure, which causes dizziness when standing up quickly,

I'm on finasteride, I don't think it effected my BP. However, tamsulosin made it lower.
