Finger Pain

I recently started with a stiff like feeling in my middle finger of my left hand, this then developed to pain from the 2nd knuckle to the base of that finger and then a little in a similiar area either side of the middle finger on my ring and index fingers. It also feels like I have similar symptoms developing slightly in my right hand. I'm hoping it may just be RSI but am unsure, I have some tendonitis in my right wrist and currently have tennis elbow in the same arm and was thinking that some symptoms are related to these issues.

Does any one have any idea on the possible cause as I am worried about more long term conditions such as arthritis even though I am on in my early 30s. Thanks in advance if anyone can give me some advice.

I am currently fighting more or lest he same thing. I have an appt today for an EMG test which my provider requires before I can see the hand specialist. I have “trigger finger” in 4th and 5th fingers of both hands. It started with one finger about a year ago and now is my most worrying complaint among many. I had six Physical Therapy sessions but was seeing no great improvement. I use very hot water soaks with massage as well as hot wax bath. Worst time is nighttime and first period in the AM. I would be interested in any treatment you get and results. Good luck.

      Hi Paul,

Thanks for the reply, hope the test helps you get the treatment you need and recover quickly. I have since been to my doctor and told that it could be over use of my hands and been advised to try and rest my hands and fingers which is kind of hard to do. I have been told that if there is no improvement in the next few weeks to go back and be sent for a nerve conduction test which I can only guess is for Carpal tunnel syndrome. Fingers crossed that rest will help, not sure if it will as I have started with burning pain within the palm of my hands especially at night though I am experiencing some slight pain during the day. Let me know how you get on. Good luck
