Finger pain issue

Hello all,
I'm new here but I was hoping I could find someone in a similar situation as me, or receive some advice/suggestions.
I saw a hand specialist recently for an issue that I first noticed quite a few years ago, and one that has progressively gotten worse. While he did rule out a few things upon examination (i.e. Carpal Tunnel, Arthritis, Trigger finger), he left me with a "there's not really anything I can do." So that brings me here to you all.
To start off, I am a 25 y/o healthy male functioning on a healthy lifestyle. No family history of severe arthritis. About 5-6 years ago, I noticed a lot of fatigue and dull pain in my fingers (on both hands) doing activities where my fingers had pressure put behind them, such as scrubbing dishes, cleaning my tire rims and other small spaces, or even using scissors. Outside of the occasional jammed fingers from basketball, the only significant hand injury I can recall is when I broke my left middle finger/hand area back in 2008.
Fast forward to present day, and I am having issues doing the following:
-Reaching in to a washer/dryer to grab clothes
-Moving a stack of plates from the dishwasher to the cabinet
-Lots of pain using my the 'sides' (in quotes because i'm not sure of the correct terminology) of my fingers to lift things, such as a garbage can lid when my hands are full, or even flicking the turn signal in my car (more noticeably middle finger and ring finger).
-Carrying jars of peanut butter or protein tubs by their lids using my fingers, getting to the point where I've dropped them at times because my fingers give out
-After playing basketball, and even kickball of all sports, where I am using my hands/fingers to hold the ball at times, my fingers get extremely sore for the next day or so.
-Using fingers as hooks when doing exercises such as pull ups, lat pull downs, rows, and other dumbbell lifts where my fingers/hands are involved (i.e curls)...they kind of just give out after a while.
Currently I am trying to keep my fingers moving frequently and being mindful to stretch them. I also purchased a "Finger Master" in hopes of strengthening them. If it is a grip issue, I am thinking about doing exercises using a bucket of rice/sand.
Does anyone have any idea what could possibly be causing this pain and fatigue? I experience it in both of my hands, but if I had to pick, my left side would be a bit worse than right (I am right handed btw). Has anyone experienced something similar? Just hoping I can get any possible leads after walking out of the doctor's office with no true answer.
Thank you in advance.

OMG!!! I HAVE THIS TOO!!
Did you EVER find out what it is?
I'm completely stumped and it's getting worse!
I don't think it's Carpal Tunnel - I pass every single test for that..
Do you morning stiffness at all? Mine started after a VERY sever pain suddenly on the back of my hand that disappeared the next day but left these symptoms and they have lingered ever since..
What is this??
(doctor told me probably nothing I can do about it, but I find this really odd)
