Fingernail not growing back - it's been 2 years

two of my fingernails were damaged due to a gel manicure which caused the nails to detach from the nail bed and fall off. after over 2 years one of them has almost grown back but is very thin and the other isn't growing at all.

does anyone know what can fix this or if i can get a permanent fake nail as I'm really self conscious about it.

    I dont think there is such a thing as a permanent finger nail and repeated gel nails are not recommended as they can cause several skin/nail problems as you have found out. Maybe just a regular manicure from time to time may be the ideal way to go.
